Sure itÂ’s expensive, but itÂ’s also undeniably delicious and can be the perfect nightcap on a successful evening out - or an even more successful evening on the couch.
[CDATA[Aqua is the new black. Or not; but it's close. A few years ago, Hpnotiq, the eye-catching, impossible to spell, Smurf-coloured liquor was putting its stamp on hipster urbanite parties the world over. People in Vegas (Vegans?) poured it over rocks, New York scenesters made their cosmos a lighter shade of baby blue, and the L.A. celebrity elite made the big, blue bottle a must-have at any A-list event. In Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, Hpnotiq was treated as the bling of booze. ]]

[CDATA[Birds freak me out. They always have. I think that they're secretly plotting against me: one really big flock of well-organized, battle-ready assault weapons. I've been dive bombed regularly, for no apparent reason (I'm not antagonizing them, I swear). Fearing a group attack, I avoid all bird refuge/sanctuary areas. This year I've been shat on four times, and it's only March. You can understand my psychosis. A bird in a bottle, though, that's a different story. ]]

[CDATA[WhatÂ’s St PatrickÂ’s Day without unfashionable people dressed hideously in green, or pots of gold on display in various chocolate boutiques? Not to mention (wellÂ…) the two-month Shamrock Shake extravaganza (wellÂ…). Come March, the layperson, accustomed to sipping on imports like Stella, opts to try something Irish; something like Guinness. Usually these fair-weather folk can only handle one Guinness a year (I'm not judging) so, apropos, they choose St. Patty's Day to mark the occasion. Guinness, like coveted Irish Pub seating on the 17th, is available all year round. People typically find the stout on the heavy side. Some can't finish an entire pint. It's the beer, people claim, that drinks like a meal. These people obviously aren't Irish. Let's have a lesson. ]]
