stuffed at the end of this one

After catching two movies at the Toronto International Film festival I made my way west (far west!) on Queen to Roncesvalles where Easy is located. It was 3 p.m. and I wasn't sure brunch was still being served, but fortunately we were in luck.
A medium sized room that characterizes most trendy brunch places in Toronto was still relatively full at this time of the day. The menu was varied, ranging from your traditional eggs, bacon, and toast to the more lavish Spanish named meals. Of course, I couldn't let something called Huevos Divorciados pass my by (especially having only eaten multigrain toast with low fat peanut butter and sugarless jam that day). This delectable meal came with two sunny-side up eggs served on a corn tortilla, with spicy salsa, guacamole, refried beans, black beans, home fries, and a salad. If that wasn't enough I ordered a "Power Peanut" smoothie which consisted of cholocate, banana, and peanut butter. Suffice it to say, I was stuffed at the end of this one.

This was one of the best lunches we have had for a long time. Gracious host (owner?? I'm not sure, as he didn't introduce himself) There is fun food west of Spadina, people.

Not the Ultimate.

You must be joking. Warm Orange Juice, an insipid salad, and burnt toast ... - not to mention a fat man on the street screaming at the top of his lungs--made this brunch a nightmare.

Greatest cappucino's in the west,

Its hard to get a good coffee on Roncesvalles, so this is where you can get one of the greatest cappucino's in the west, complete with surprisingly tastly macadamia nut biscotti. Kind, gracious staff and a very relaxed atmosphere. Good food without pretentious bs. Food is prepared with care and my sister and I have made it our weekly sunday brunch spot.

A place to go back

We have eaten at Easy five times with various friends and none of us was disappointed in any way. The food was great, the portions are huge and the atmosphere is fun. As for the service, we didn't pay too much attention to it-we were too busy enjoying our food and the company. I will definitely return and recommend Easy to others.
