| Reader Reviews Classic place! Gordon Anderson, Toronto, ON Sept. 30, 2001 I thought the menu was quite nice with some inventive pairings. The wine list was large enough yet very competent with some decent French and California reds. Service was great, I appreciated the atmosphere because the crowd becomes the decoration. It's not a quiet place by any means yet it's a nice evening out. All in All - next time I'm in Toronto - I will definitely visit Auberge again. Gordon Mr. bmw, Toronto, ON Sept. 06, 2001 worth a try if you're in the area. High quality service staff, but try to go on a weeknight or go early. Food is always excellent if you can handle the cottagey decor. A friend of mine went there the next week on my recommendation and saw a famous actor from his favorite movie. joie de vivre Adam Klemick, Oakville, ON August 17, 2001 Auberge de Pommier does everything well. I was delighted to find that my Sweet Pea would be treated with a Sweet Pea hor d'oeves quickly after being seated. Service was impeccable, particularly the busservice; he seemed to always be there, and yet we never noticed nor was our discourse interrupted. The food was also without objection, all flavors were well constructed and quite palatable. While I would have been satisfied with my company alone Auberge de Pommier was somehow able to further elate my joie de vivre. |
