Every drink has its time and place, and matching a martini with the occasion is key to earning status with the cocktail circuit. A new season approaching, and yet another martini from a certain show on HBO.

The Sex and the City girls toasted each other with a drink called the Ruby Martini, in a cameo-worthy spot, barely making 7 seconds screen time. But this was enough to earn the Ruby its spots in New York’s hottest spots. Like the Cosmopolitan before, this was clearly the idea.

And now the Ruby has come to town, in epic proportions.

Ingredients:
4 parts Absolut Citron Vodka
1 part Ruby red grapefruit juice

Garnish
Grapefruit Twist
Sugar rimmed glass

Instructions
Pre-chill glass with ice. Meanwhile add the ingredients to shaker with cracked ice, Mix contents. Dump ice out of glass, sugar the rim slightly, then strain drink into chilled glass, add the grapefruit piece as a garnish.

The Ruby campaign also includes a website dedicated to the cocktail, a promotional trip to the Nightclub and Bar Trade Show in Las Vegas next month and a partnership with SKYY Vodka so company representatives can pitch the drink to bars and pass out recipe cards.
