The Martini Odyssey, from the gin-based Martinez to the Technicolour-style martini cocktail, the poor martini, throughout the years, has undergone more makeovers than Madonna and Michael Jackson combined.
But Glass's Classic Crystal is going back to (vodka) basics with the clear taste of vodka, and the slight hint of vermouth.
Ingredients:
6 parts Belvedere Vodka
1 part Vermouth
Garnish
olive or zest
Instructions
Pre-chill glass with ice. Meanwhile add the ingredients to shaker with cracked ice, Mix contents. Dump ice out of glass, then strain drink into chilled glass, add the garnish.
