The creation of the Modern Martini is due to the resurgence of cocktail making in the '90s. The drink has become something of a phenomenon, with garnishes of cartoon-like proportions - fruit, jelly beans, coffee! And it's vodka's flexibility as a cocktail ingredient that has thrown the Martini for a loop. Well, the classic is merely a glass of vodka with the addition of a frozen olive.
Ingredients:
8 parts Grey Goose Vodka
1 part vermouth
Garnish
frozen olive
Instructions
Pre-chill glass with ice. Meanwhile add the frozen vodka to shaker with cracked ice, Mix contents. Dump ice out of glass, then strain into chilled glass, add the frozen olive.
