Winston Churchill, like many of his contemporaries, would search for ways to prevent his beloved martini from being sabotaged by the addition of too much vermouth. So, while some aromatize their martini with vermouth and others would marinate their olives in vermouth, Churchill would merely look at the bottle when fixing himself a martini.
Ingredients:
1 Part Bombay Sapphire Gin
1 look at bottle of vermouth
Garnish
olive
Instructions
Pre-chill glass with ice. Meanwhile add the ingredients to shaker with cracked ice, Strain chilled gin into chilled glass while passing the bottle of vermouth over the drink, ensuring that the sun shines through the bottle and into the drink, Add one olive.
