Skyy Vodka

Oh what a feeling. When you're mixing up some Skyy Vodka with a bit of mixer, perhaps something of the citrus variety, and after a few drinks you notice that you are a different person. You notice that things are feeling different. Frankly, you can't wipe the grin off your face.

Most vodkas do taste foul, as do most alcohols for they are fermented and the only intent of them is cause disorientation of the human brain. The Skyy vodka drunk, however, is very disorienting. I usually get a heavy case of the spins when I am exclusive to this brand.

This spirit should be purchased by younger people who are not financially equipped to buy Grey Goose of Belevedere.

Bottled in the usual Skyy Blue bottle but with what looks like a Trivial Pursuit game piece (a round pie with multicolored slices for our non USA readers) on the front, we try the new Skyy Citrus. It has a fruity smell as you open the bottle and pour the first shot. It hits your tongue first with the fruit and then the tree scrapes its way down your throat with the usual Skyy-burn. Not willing to try another shot, we mixed it; and what a mix it makes. The combination of the 5 different fruits allows this to be mixed with most kinds of fruit juice and it sits quite comfortably in your mouth and all the way down. The heat in your belly is light and so this is a good drink for a hot day.

Yes, you read correctly 5 fruits- orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit, and tangerine. That's where they got the pie idea although since it is made in San Francisco, USA, you just can't tell. We enjoyed this vodka quite a bit, and for the price it makes a solid mixer. Salud!
Domestic premium vodka that uses a four-column distillation and triple filtration system to remove impurities and congeners (impurities that form during the fermentation process). This produces an extremely clean, satiny and refined vodka. Nuances of cocao and grain flavors. A light but not lightweight vodka. 'Kindred Spirits' gives it a *** (recommended) rating.
