 | Piņa ColadaOne of the most contentious and controversial drinks in the summer cocktail firmament, the Piņa Colada has endured nearly three decades of fame and infamy thanks to Brit songwriter, Rupert Holmes. Briefly perceived as the spokes-drink for a generation of adulterers, the refreshing concoction is due for a connotation reclaim (see Clerks 2). Built with a melange of Caribbean staples, the refreshing PC epitomizes laid-back summer imbibing. Try not to get caught in the rain (unless you like that sort of thing).
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz light rum
4 oz pineapple juice
2 oz coconut cream
1 cup crushed ice
Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with fruits. |
