Ridley Scott Adds Two Movies To His Plate

The last time that Ridley Scott was talking seriously about new movie projects he was thinking about adapting the board game Monopoly into a movie. Not exactly a project that film fans want to see from the British master behind Alien and Gladiator. Fortunately, Scott discussed a few more projects today, both of which sounded much more suited to his considerable talents.

Perhaps the most exciting news for fans of the director is the fact that Scott plans to direct his first science fiction movie in over 26 years. Scott established himself as a master of the genre with Alien and Blade Runner, but hasn’t made a sci-fi flick since. All that is about to change, but Ridley is keeping his mouth shut about what he specifically has in store for audiences. All he’s said so far is that he “waited for a book for 20 years and now I have got the book. I am not going to tell you what the book is but that film is going to probably be written within the next month.”
