Black Eyed Peas' tour manager has been charged with assaulting Perez Hilton. The group were warned they would be forbidden to leave Canada until Polo Molina handed himself over to police over the alleged incident, which took place at Toronto's Cobra Club in the early hours of Monday morning.

The gossip blogger claims he was confronted by Polo and group member will.i.am at the nightspot following an earlier altercation when singer Fergie blasted him over negative comments he had made about their music. In a video blog entitled My Statement, a tearful Perez - real name Mario Lavandeira - said: "will.i.am sees me and comes directly towards me like a heat-seeking missile. He was screaming in my face." Further into the video, he added that Polo "from behind, clocks me in the eye and punches me two or three times".

The blogger admitted deliberately trying to antagonize the rapper by calling him a "faggot". He said: "He was like, 'You need to respect me.' He was obviously trying to intimidate me and scare me. "I was like, 'I don't respect you' and I did say this - and I knew that it would be the worst thing I could possibly say to him because he was acting the way he was - I said, 'You know what, I don't respect you and you're gay and stop being such a faggot.' " Following the incident, the openly-gay writer posted on his Twitter page about the incident: "I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke."

will.i.am has blasted the claims, saying Perez has blown the incident out of proportion for publicity and wondered why he used the internet instead of calling police. He wrote on his own blog: "It sounds like somebody wants mad attention and is not really concerned about his health." Following Perez's Tweet, fans inundated local police with calls and they began investigating the incident. After handing himself in, Polo was charged and will appear in court on August 5.

Paris Hilton's Dubai hotel room has been bugged. The US socialite, who is in the United Arab Emirates filming her latest reality TV show, was reportedly horrified when bodyguards found a recording device hidden in her private suite.

A source working with the 28-year-old star told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "It was some sort of transmitter by all accounts. We are not sure what the device picked up or whom it was transmitting to. But it did leave Paris very jittery. "Paris's security has been increased and hotel staff are investigating how the device came to be in her room."

Meanwhile Paris - who is filming a third series of her show 'My New Best Friend Forever' - has denied reports she has been warned by TV producers not to wear a bikini in the conservative Muslim state.
She wrote on her Twitter blog: "One of my friends just called me from back home and asked if I got in trouble for wearing a bikini at the beach here and once again - FALSE.

"Everyone at the beach and pool was wearing swimsuits or bikinis. What do you expect people to wear? It's over 100 degrees out here. "There's a lot of misconceptions about this place, the dress code isn't as
strict as one might think. I love the way they dress. Beautiful." She also wrote that she has ridden a camel while in the state and is set to go indoor skiing today.

Jon Voight thinks Megan Fox is as "sexy" as his daughter Angelina Jolie. The Hollywood veteran - who has been estranged from the 34-year-old star for several years - thinks recent comparisons between the 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' starlet and Angelina are fair because they are both stunning women.

He said: "Everybody is unique. They're both very beautiful and they're both kind of sexy girls." However, the 70-year-old actor believes Megan should embark on a charitable lifestyle if she wants to fully emulate his daughter's way of life. He explained: "Maybe Megan will start doing the things that Angelina is so well known for. Angelina is obviously known for her helping with kids and concern for others. I think that would be wonderful for all of the kids if Megan were to do the same. Megan can do a lot of good, so that would be great."

Meanwhile, Megan - who claims she is currently single - has revealed she "recklessly" got a tattoo of her on/off boyfriend Brian Austin Green's name. She said: "I have the name Brian tattooed on my body. I'm a little reckless every once in a while. "But at the same time it's so easy to get tattoos removed now. Plus, it's such a light, small and delicate tattoo. I've looked into getting it removed just out of curiosity and it would only be $200 to remove."

Jessica Simpson expects her new reality TV show to be a "wild ride". The 'With You' singer will travel the world with a friend to find out what is deemed beautiful for VH1's 'The Price of Beauty' and says it will be
interesting to see the pressures women are put under to look good. The blonde star - who was criticised for her seemingly fuller figure earlier this year - said: "I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect.

"I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful. I know we will all learn a lot on this journey and I am so excited that VH1 is coming along on what I'm sure will be a wild ride."

Friends say Jessica - who starred in MTV's 'Newlyweds' with ex-husband Nick Lachey - is looking forward to her return to reality television. One said: "Jessica is so excited to start shooting the show. She has been doing research into some of the insane things people do to try to make themselves more beautiful and she is shocked. She thinks it will be fun to try some of them."
