    I just ordered take out:

The Butter Chicken was short on chicken and seemed thickened with flour and tasted accordingly . The Naan was chewy and cold. Suprisingly, the Pullao Rice was good, as was the Daal Maharani. The Magh Lai was a total rip off dish consisting of 6 small cubes of tough, chewy, what had to be mutton (listed as lamb) in a bucket of sauce. And oops, they forgot to garnish it with almonds as advertised.

My total came to 36.19 before GST. I was charged 45.71, plus I had to leave the driver a tip, for a total of $50.00. When I ordered there was no delivery charge mentioned so I called to ask why I was charged almost $10.00 extra. The response was "Oh sorry, the guy who took your order is not here now. Sorry, there is a delivery charge. Sorry Magh Lai is a curry with meat and sauce (6 pieces for $10.25) Sorry, sorry. Then she hung up.

I most definitely do not recommend wasting your money on this place. What a disappointment.

I just ordered take out (ignore atmosphere and seating rating):

I just ordered from these guys 10 minutes before there closing time (Sunday, 9pm) as I was craving a good butter chicken meal. They happily took my order. I got 2 orders of butter chicken, an order of rice and I got two orders of "papry chat."

The papry chat is amazing and I suggest it as being a first time order from this restaurant. As far as the butter chicken, I was disappointed. After taking my first bite it was very bland and after removing the butter chicken sauce off of the so called "boneless chicken" I discovered that there were pieces of cut up tandoori chicken.

I have had butter chicken countless times before this experience and I know you don't make butter chicken with tandoori chicken. Not only that, the chicken tasted as if it was cooked, frozen over night, micro waved and mixed in with their butter chicken sauce which had no taste at all.

The rice was good but I could of gotten my own “minutemade” rice and had that as a side dish. The naan was chewy but not as thick as a traditional naan should be.

Please think before ordering from these guys. This is an honest review and it was posted due to calling the restaurant and experiencing the worst service ever!

we ordered take out for our daughter's birthday. We are very disappointed with all of the food!! We ordered Butter Chicken, Korma, Vindaloo, Naan, a Dahl, rice and Chat starter..all of it rubbish! the Naan was like pre-heated pancakes, the Butter chicken was boney with no taste, the Korma tasted like the Butter chicken etc.

I would not order from these guys and highly recommend Namskar instead.

I am so surprised by the above reviews. I order from them routinely and am an avid Indian food fan. I agree the butter chicken is hit and miss and certainly isn't the best but for the price, I always enjoy it provided I order it as medium or hot. If you get it mild, it is quite bland. The mixed vegetables are without a doubt, the best I have had though, this is also hit and miss depending upon which veggies they have on hand. I find it to be loads better than Namskar and would not reccomend them at all. I feel that Puspa is still the best for flavour and diversity but Taste of India is a great little neighbourhood place to order from.
