L ate last year a sign suddenly appeared in Yaletown outside Melriche's Coffee Shop that read "Tequila Kitchen". There wasn’t much more than a sign and a whole lot of construction back then, but owner Laura Enriquez’s hard work is finally about to pay off. Now beside the Tequila Kitchen sign there is a definitive sign that reads “Open.”
Although Laura and front of house manager Emi Núñez are calling this their “soft opening” the place feels promising. I guess they’re waiting out the winter to catch the spring rush and ride out the summer free and easy. I don’t think they’ll have any trouble doing business when they officially open but don’t let the soft opening deter you from going right away. Let me tell you why.

1It certainly is interesting enough. I have yet to have a "great" meal there (I've eaten there many times). I suspect, with time it will improve... but for now, it's better as a apps-and-drinks kind of place. posted by Kevin Fotte 148 days ago 2I had the oportunity to visit Tequila Kitchen. It has everything you can expect to have a good time. Excellent food, excellent drinks, great people, great prices, and quality service....what a place! This people really make you feel good from start to end...and the most important they know about real mexican food, fine dishes, exotic flavors. Five stars for this wonderful place. Otherwise pretty good comfort food. posted by Tom Cortese 123 days ago | |
