    For the boys who know their beef, you can rely on Hy’s to deliver a supreme-quality succulent steak. During the lunch hour, power suit diners are abound discussing the latest news in biz while downing oysters, cocktails and cocktails – all on the rocks. The demure dining environment full of dark wood, “antique” art and low lighting is a bit dated, but adds to the charm of a classic steak house. Located downtown for over 30 years, this is an excellent choice for an evening dinner date to revamp the romance or get in the good books with your father-in-law.

    i have been going to Hy,s since 1967 and have not been anywhere as good as there . I have eaten around the world and still it,s my favorite place to eat as a matter of fact in twenty minutes thats where i will be with my cheese bread and fillet and my great bottle of wine .I personally knew Hy and what a great guy he was he is so missed I am sure by a lot of people . I love the one in Hawaii and Calgary to but the dim lighting in vancouver makes it so special. Dont ever close. Marlene
