A family-run business in every way, Club 6/49 was the brainchild of Myriam and Luis Campanelli. Twenty years later, their offspring now help run the joint. Rick Campanelli is the DJ, Sandra Campanelli is the occasional performer with her band “Latin Groove,” which plays at the club when it’s not touring, and Jessica Campanelli is the bookkeeper.
A twenty-year run is a rock solid success story and many things make 6/49 tick; fun luvin’ people (dressed to dance), a downtown location (Ste. Catherine West) and a room designed to party (dark woodwork, big dance floor, long and inviting bar). While attentive service is all about pleasing, timing is not always perfect – prepare to wait for that drink.

1Gracious staff??? Are you kidding me??????!!! I am never setting foot in that place again. Bouncer is a jerk, manager was nowhere to be found and couldn't care less anyway. We had tickets for a salsa show that were paid in advance. We get there at 9:20 p.m., the girl at the door makes us wait about 10 minutes and then we're told that the tickets are only good BEFORE 9:30 p.m. and that we have to pay to get in. NOWEHERE ON THE TICKETS DID IT SAY THAT. Big argument at the door because they were being pricks about it but we finally got in with our tickets. If it wasn't because my sister was dancing that night, trust me, I would've left. It's not a question of money, it's all about principle. I asked the lady at the door if there were people there, because if there weren't we weren't going in. She said yes there were, and when we went in -- I think there were a total of 8 people. We stepped in for less than 5 mintues & she wouldn't give us our money back.....
