    Avon Bistro

This cute little bistro offers up much of the same atmosphere as other bistros, but the menu itself features uniquely-flavoured dishes that you’ll be telling your friends about.

The executive chef here is Kevin Cahill – of Serena Bass – and he’s created some delicious appetizers and mains that are worth every penny and then some.

We just visited in April. The special of the night was lamb loin. It came to our table barely warm. Two of my companions had the monkfish. The fish was fine, but their side dishes, farro (spelt) and creamed spinach were so salty, they were inedible. The salmon was nothing special. The servers were nice, but very green (not too knowledgeable). We liked the sangria and the cocktail that was made with Rain vodka and essence of lavender. We didn't bother staying for dessert. Rather a disappointment. Wouldn't visit again.
