| 1 repliesThai Me Up Sandwich Bar
Despite the pop-cultural references this resto’s moniker might conjure (The Stereophonics, Janet Jackson’s Rope Burn or Antonio Bandaras’ 1990 flick), it would be far from a negative thing to be held captive at this delicious Thai resto. Owner Amir Hushinsky opens his new sandwich shop to much fanfare and healthy appetites that will appreciate the Bánh mě subs. Patrons select from chicken, beef or tofu and then add a variety of wok-sautéed vegetables to their ‘wich (carrots, cabbages, snap peas, mushrooms, etc.) and a sauce of their choice (garlic, sweet soy, pineapple, oyster sauce, grenadine, lime leaf, green curry or ginger). With tempting offerings like this, one would be more than happy to be held prisoner here for a very long time (or at least until they’ve worked their way through the menu’s many Bánh mě sandwiches).
