The Drowsy Chaperone :: Nov. 22-Dec. 27
 ypically, you want your chaperone a little drowsy; it makes surreptitious dry-humping and drink-sipping easier. The much-loved Canadian import, The Drowsy Chaperone (book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar; music and lyrics by Greg Morisson and Lisa Lambert) follows a be-robed narrator (Man in Chair) as he follows the exploits of a familiar cast of party revelers throughout a 1928 musical. Self-reflexive, meta and hilarious, DC has garnered Tonys and critical love. Recently, co-writer and star, Bob Martin, has split for England, relinquishing his chair to John Glover. -S.T.
Tickets are $33 @ 604-665-3034
Vancouver Playhouse Theatre, 127 East 2nd Avenue
