  f you've never been to the Vancouver International Fringe Festival then you've been missing out. It's a lot like regular theatre, but much less pretentious and much more anarchic. 65 national and international productions are performed in total over 500 times. The festival is uncensored and unjuried, so it's a very mixed bag. You never know whether you're going to see the next smash hit or some uninspired bullshit a few friends put together after a night of heavy drinking. But that's part of the fun. - R.T.
