  ven if you haven't seen it, you've heard of Mel Brooks' The Producers since it's one of the most popular Broadway shows, but in case you don't know what it's about, it's a wacky sing-song play about Broadway producer Max Bialystock and his neurotic accountant Leo Bloom who decide that they can make more money on a play that is a total flop than on one that's super successful – oh the irony, a play about a play, how very Hamlet of them. It would have been even more ironic if The Producers were a flop, but, unfortunately for the sake of irony, it has been ridiculously successful. -M.K.
