 npaauk Andrew Dexel made the leap a number of years ago from street art to gallery art. But he hasn't left the streets behind; Dexel's art still includes many elements of graffiti, which is central to his distinctive figurative and abstract images, all of which convey a lot more energy than would be expected from two-dimensional canvas painting. - R.T.
