 he little, chimera’ish jewellery store at 42 Kingsway is moving on up, and will soon be established in a new space at 2408 Main Street (or 38 Kingsway, if you prefer to come in through the out door).
Transforming the new digs for Jewellerbau is owner Dina, an Argentinian artist with a flair for amorphous, industrial jewellery design. The new space will offer more room for her unusual pieces, and will surely be a boon to those in search for the loveliest of unconventional rings, bracelets and necklaces. “I weld everything, all my jewellery is based in architectural and geometric forms, little landscapes within the squares,” said the tiny, paint splattered Dina in her thick, fetching Latin accent. “I lived in Buenos Aires, and a lot of what I do is little landscapes made from silver and set in resin.” Now Open.
