Location: 1177 Melville Street, Vancouver, BC
kimming off the weighty “ge” from voyage, the Loden Hotel will present Voya to the Coal Harbour dining crew. After Chef Marc-André Choquette’s (Lumiere) own voyage for culinary inspiration to La Marea in Miami, you are guaranteed a seafood presence on the menu (Vancouver’s coastal proximity also helps make a case for this).
The room will accommodate upwards of eighty diners under the sparkling crystal chandeliers that illuminate the rich chocolate and white lacquered space. Here’s to hoping Chef Choquette had more than just fun in the sun while frolicking amidst the beautiful bodies of South Beach, and will test his culinary skill at Voya. Also of note is the legendary Vancouver bartender Jay Jones. Having poured drinks everywhere from West to Nu to Donelly Nighclubs, he will prepare classic drinks like the Sidecar at this new restaurant and lounge, opening in the new Loden Hotel. Opening September 2008.
