After 4 months of creating a new collection (I guess stores need things to sell) and building a new store, one of the foremost womenswear designers in Vancouver has found a new location in Gastown. The former bar of the 1899 Lamplighter Hotel is now one of the cities fashion hotspots. From now on you’ll see that space filled with underfed wannabe models in their 20s and bored housewives desperate to recapture their youth.

The newly renovated space feature poured concrete floors, exposed brick, and 14-foot reclaimed wood beams that suspend clothing. In other words, it’s hipster paradise: it looks cheap and hand-me-down, yet it’s shockingly expensive. The new spring collection is influenced by turn-of-the-century men's work wear, with sexy, slouchy pants, vests and ties.
