Editors
When
Interpol came onto the scene, they were compared to
Joy Division. That's a nice thing, isn't it? But when
Editors came about, they were compared to Interpol, and there's something off there. You see, Interpol is excellent. Editors...not so much. And no, I don't care if one of their albums went to number one on the UK charts. Editors are at the Commodore Ballroom on Saturday.

Other Truths, their reputation within the post-rock genre is ironclad.

Corner Suite Bistro De Luxe opens in soft-launch phase
If you can muster up a table, a modern baroque scene awaits, outfitted with custom chandeliers that hover over black diamond-tufted leather booths and rich woods, and turquoise captain's chairs. A gorgeous 32-foot stainless steel bar, services a list of heavy-duty classic cocktails (just about everyone involved has experience as a bartender) exceptionally well. The concept is laid-back and welcoming, an intricately designed "neighbourhood supportive" type of spot, similar to something like The Diamond. If you manage to get a table, hang out for an extra cocktail; it's the kind of place that once you've found it you want to stay. Corner Suite Bistro is open for dinner starting tonight, and will begin with its brunch, lunch and dinner menu on Monday, Feb 8th.
