Here's the plan:
After showering and shaving I'll head out to
Caffe Barney, a breakfast pub that may not be entirely Irish (hey, I'm half English and I'm not looking for perfection), but will service my morning Guinness need just the same. This joint's pint inventive, with many a recipe for your imbibe pleasure.
Following breakfast, the most direct route will take me to
The Morrissey for a spell. There I can shoot some pool, if the mood suits me, or simply shoot some Jameson’s Irish Whiskey. I like my J's on the rocks, but if you like a little bit of frou frou there are a few worthy Jameson’s Cocktail Recipes out there. At this point I'll likely be starving, so I should probably eat something (it'll be about 3 in the afternoon, after all).
I’ll take a yellow dodger into Gastown, where
The Irish Heather awaits. One of Van city's very best Irish brew houses, Heather
has a selection of Irish draughts, like Harp Lager (a favourite of the Irish rugby team) and Kilkenny, both on tap. It also serves grub from a distinctively Irish menu.
