    Sushi Samba 7
Two star-crossed lovers, Japan and Brazil have finally gotten together. Dine on delicious raw fish offerings while samba tunes titillate your eardrums. An international mélange in the West Village, Sushi Samba 7 is famous for its eclectic vibrancy. Though the view is nothing to brag about, the ebullient rooftop environment is easily worth the trip upstairs. A tumultuous and frenetic tossed salad of activity, you can nosh while you tap your feet to more than danceable tracks. Get your fill of mojitos or Lemon Samurai cocktails in this fantastically strange fusion experience. 87 Seventh Avenue South, 212-691-7885

    Terrace at the Sutton Place
Essentially ripping a café/bar from a European square (think Trastevere in the summer) and plopping it down on the Sutton Place, this aptly named Terrace is airy and more refined than that it should be, considering the slide-able seating. Light and happily inclusive, the long-bar encourages elbow rubbing of the laid-back ilk. Don’t over dress, your polo will do you just find. Sip, relax, and try not to teeter near the edge. 1015 Second Avenue, 212-207-3777

    The Top of the Tower
The legendary Beekman Tower is one of New York's finest examples of Art Deco architecture. The Top of the Tower restaurant needs a bit of a redo, with fine food and décor which is almost as old as building itself. However, the rooftop bar is livened up with a live piano player. Sitting at the 26th story with the magnificent views of the city and the East River means that you can focus on the booze and ignore the food. –C.S. 3 Mitchell Place, 212-980-4796
