You’re not fully clean until you’re zest fully clean! Wait, wait, wait – wrong Zest people. Enter this high modern Japanese sashimi house and be prepared for an exclusive adventure of inspired Asian cuisine. Attentive service is the specialty at this relaxed resto where the décor steers clear from the traditional bamboo adornment and instead opts for plus suede booths and intricate lighting. The menu appeals to adventurous appetites that don’t balk at the suggestion of deep fried oyster or stewed locus (remember the plague?). You can forget Emeril’s “kick it up a notch” bullshit – Zest’s wasabi is of a new mind-numbing variety sure to clear out your sinuses for at least one season. If you’re in the area for a show and are looking for a unique dining experience, take advantage of the prix-fixe menu where Chef Yosiaki Maniwa presents his latest creations for ready and willing epicureans. - E.J.
