Great small plates include the cured carpaccio and poke-style tuna with crisp wontons for scooping, and the szechaun prawns with chili salt and chili wok mayo. Or, if you're timing is spot on, the much ballyhooed ravioli - stuffed with mushrooms and three cheeses and served with spinach and wine – is a must-try. Currently, the wine selection is small but I'm told additions are forthcoming. In the meantime, you can wet your palette with a number of interesting cocktails, such as the summer-appropriate bramble with gin, lime, ice, and blackberry liqueur.

While this may not be the most restaurant-friendly area of town, these two chefs have found a compelling formula. They may not be the little guys for long; let's hope they don't go getting all corporate on us. - CA

As a neighbourhood local, I enjoy this place for what it is: a friendly, inviting lunch spot that prepares the food with care and serves with a smile. I eat lunch here every couple of weeks, and am never disappointed. No problem taking clients here, or doing a business lunch [although it gets packed during the noon hour, and sharing tables is commonplace]. Let's face it, 2 Chefs is no "foodie buzz place" nor does it aspire to be, I don't think. Just a great lunch spot in a part of town that's otherwise devoid of decent places. Not expensive either. 4 stars for being in the right place, doing what it does quite well.

We showed up just after they open for brunch on Sunday at 10am, which seemed to be the right time as we had our choice of tables! The space is very welcoming and bright (especially given that it was a typical rainy Vancouver morning). They served our coffee in a communal french press which made it feel like we were in someone's kitchen, and the refill came without having to hound the server. But really I am writing this review because the hollandaise is the best I've ever had. Yum. And to the guy that said this was over priced, Did you actually eat here? We found it exceptionally reasonably priced.

Great under-the-radar restaurant. The Taste BC at the Hyatt Regency Hotel will open the "Two Chefs and a Table" offerings to the masses.

I am the biased mother of Allan bosomworth, however having said that and having eaten there now a various times of the day with several different people , it has been always a great time - good, good conversation and a good food even during the lunch feeding time frenzy!!! one can have a close and personal conversation with a friend and not be aware of the frantic eaters around you. Brunch is very nice also but the best time is at night with the wide open windows on the city - then it is a wonderland.... oh did I mention I taught my kid how to cook but he did the hard work as did Karl to be owning their own place.

Really OVERpriced as well as OVERrated. I had heard about this place from various foodies - and now I was a tad dissapointed. It's good... just not great

Ehh....overrated, mostly pomp and circumstance. There are about 15 other restaurants that I would choose before I went back here.

I have called ahead for take-out 3 times in the past month and each time has been excellent. The mac & cheese, okay I had that twice it was so good, and their big salad with mango dressing and grilled prawns, is a close second. Easy walking distance from Gastown (7 minutes) prices are incredibly reasonable for the portion size. Call before 12 or you have to order when you get there. Excellent option from "spaghetti" and sandwiches.

With being Karls parents from Penticton, we'll try to give an unbiased opinion. We attended one of the openings and from the talk that went around it would appear that Karl and Allan are on the right track with their new venture. It certainly fits in with Vancouvers "character". The food was very good, well presented, and the atmosphere is upbeat. A great time was had by all.
