Jerk it up! Lively and yummy, The Reef serves up great Caribbean classics like Jerk Chicken, Roti, oxtail and yam fries. There are big and small dishes, pending on your appetite. Vibrant and cool, The Reef also serves as a dance hall in the evening. - A.C.

when I looked at the menu, I asked myself,"is this a restaurant?" the food menu is way too little( even a fast food store has more food than the Reef) , and the drink menu is way too big. the server pushed us to order alcolholic drinks. when we asked if they have any juice, she gave us a face and said,"of course we have". rude service and poor quality food. I think this is the most terrible restaurant i'v ever seem in Vancouver.

Maybe my expectations are too high, but I expect a Caribbean restaurant to have some Caribbean soul. You know, slow relaxed friendly service, great food with large servings... well that ain't the Reef.

Servers were rushed and way too trendy to for Caribbean soul. The food was decent, but portions were embarrassingly small for a Caribbean kitchen. The jerk pork was dry, the curry goat was dry, the rice and peas was passable. The pints of beer were served in glasses sub pint size and the pitchers were filled with too much foam and not enough beer. I even ordered a glass of Havana Club reserve neat and let's just say I inhaled the aroma of the fine rum and the little that was in the glass evaporated into the air.

I wouldn't go back and would be ashamed to take anyone from any of the islands there.
