Food, service a great sense of humor are my number one reasons for going back to a place to eat and 'The District' is right up there for going back!! It was my first time at the restaurant last weekend, and I had the best service, and brunch that I've ever had in a long time! I especially like the way the kitchen and waitress went out of their way to find the best cayenne on the North Shore! Every now and then I have a craving for a bit of spice added to my morning ritual, and the cayenne I was given wasn't hot enough!! I thought for sure I was given another spice!! Well that didn't stop the waitress or the chef's from achieving my morning request!! We were unaware that someone had gone out to purchase the spice first hand to test their cayenne theory! Not only did I have a good laugh, but I would definitely recommend the district to everyone I know in the lower mainland! It's a place that will last a long time, for the way they accommodate their customers and the food that was awesome with or without the cayenne!! Thanks for making my day, and I hope to see you around for a long time!!

Absolutely loved it each time I've been. Great place to go with a small group of friends or with a date.
Food is flavorful and plated well (recommend highly for starters- Long Beans and Crab Cakes. For the mains- the Steak is one of the best in the city).
The big guy behind the bar is friendly and knows how to mix a great drink. Being such a small place with the most open kitchen around, its a lot of fun to interact and watch the chefs in action.
Safe to say you will not be disappointed in this small gem.
