14-year CFL veteran Daved Benefield launched a new taco joint in the original Vera’s Burger Shack location in Kits. Collaborating with his former teammate and owner of Vera’s, Noah Cantor told him to put his idea to the test and began trying different recipes. Stemming from his childhood passion for tacos in Southern California, Daved says they’ll be the freshest and best homemade creations that he can possibly make, Taco Loco is now open. - L.H
