Was recently in Vancouver and recommended to try this famous hot spot. We found the buffet to be tastless, and of poor quality. Service was poor and generally this restaurant needs to be re-vamped in our opinion. We would not come here again.

Thorughly disappointed since the the food was lousy, burnt & saltless, despite the owners being present at the dinner time. It appears that no one cares except the servers. It may be better if they close down. How come a #1 restaurant is now #zero?

Early on a weekday evening, the buffet offerings were simply superb. The tandoori chicken was succulent, the butter chicken and mixed veg curry a close second. Samosas - veggie - were above average, and the masala tea quite lovely. We noticed how generously the buffet was restocked. Staff were attentive and gracious.

Awful greasy food. not quite fresh. This is NOT a halal restaurant.
It is owned by Ismailis, NOT Muslims. Dont be fooled.

The way it looks
The way it sounds and the flavors unbeatable
Things have been up and down here but they can get back up
and make this restaurant back to the top where it belongs
to the hard working owners this restaurant had it all
and I will come back and support them
You must try cause there is nothing like it in the city
