ince the dawn of the nitroglycerine days, working for the railway has been a stressful, exigent, and often thankless job. After a hard day of pumping away on a handcar, nothing soothes calloused hands like a cold glass of beer. The Railway Club, not just for engineers and coal shovelers, is an inclusive, live-music-heavy joint for nominal-fee plebs and rail-riders alike. Get soused from an extensive beer selection - including comprehensive microbrewery representation - and work on your breakman stories (those guys get all the girls). |

Well, where to start with this place. Let's see, this could be the best place ever, but only if you are one of about 50 people who are in that particular clique. However if you are in a band or not in that clique, it may not be all The Georgia Straight makes it out to be.With the ever decreasing live venues in Van, and the fact that this club is considered to be the nightclub for musicians, it's quite ironic that only the chosen (read friends of or related to) get the gigs.Message to Janet; "wake up and hear tha music!" It's 2006 not 1959 Biatch!!
