The story behind chefs Alessandra and Jean-Francois Quaglia is quite romantic. They both worked at a restaurant in France where they met, fell in love and later married. Alessandra, a Canadian and Jean-Francois, a native from Provence, France, returned to Vancouver where they opened their first restaurant: Provence Mediterranean Grill and with the success of the restaurant, they opened their second venture together: Provence Marinaside, located on Davie and False Creek.
Watching the making of this restaurant on the Food Network’s Opening Soon, archived Jean-Francois head-butting with his father-in-law, a culinary industry man himself.
Provence Marinaside is an award-winning restaurant, serving a wide-array of fresh seafood dishes, oyster and antipasti platters. They even pack picnic wicker baskets for patrons to enjoy at nearby Stanley Park. – A.C
