As for eats, there’s a plenty of Irish options (from Shepherd’s Pie to Irish Stews and Chowders) getting their dues respectively. Platters are more in lieu of plates (and why is that? Every Irish go to wants to feed yah till ye burst…hmph…) which makes the portion sizes good for the pound you’re spending. Upon my exit, I’m serenaded by a Celtic one on the speaker, singing me my song. Best to enjoy it before the crazy gets crazier. In a place like The Morrissey, I imagine it shan’t take long.

i like this place. its unpretentious but still a classier joint than ur avg irish bar.
i work in the industry and i totally agree with the waitress who didn't serve the guy above. we get paid minimum wage to haul around heavy drinks and clean up shit all night while you guys enjoy urselves. its gross and tiring but we do it because it pays us well. a $1 tip on a 2 drink order is by no means "reasonable", its embarrassing. so please, tip accordingly, especially when its 1AM and busy as hell.

My friend has been celebrating his birthday at the Morrissey every year for at least the last five years. We've always enjoyed going there due to its unpretentious atmosphere and great music. However we were sadly disappointed last night with some of the rudest service we've ever had. After one friend ordered two drinks and tipped the waitress a dollar ( which is by no means a massive tip, but seems fairly reasonable) she refused to serve them anymore stating "I'm not serving you guys anymore. You don't tip me". I understand that waiters make their living off of tips but perhaps she didn't realize that she lost a whole lot more in tips from the rest of us after that....

Had lunch and dinner there on weekend. Food was fabulous and lots of it, presentation was excellent, prices were extremely reasonable, food served hot and beer served cold. Outstanding servers - answers our questions about the menu, drinks, and area. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
