hen Vancouverites cried out for more Mexican dining, Me and Julio heard their calls. Located on 2095 Commercial Drive, Me and Julio offers a spicy taste of Mexican culture for adventurous people.

It’s all modern Mexican here with their decor, with tropical flavours echoed throughout. The tiki-bar is quite nice, which feels like a little piece of Mexico in Vancouver. There’s also lots more space so all your friends can fit (90 seats and 25 on the patio). This means round up the guys for the game and get rowdy at the tiki bar. The restaurant creators are the Lolita’s gang, Jaison and Lila Gaylie. Executive Chef Shelome Bouvette cooks up a spicy quesadilla, among other menu offerings.
Enjoy empanadas with chicken, yam, cheddar, and other ingredients that are hard to determine. If you’re more in the mood for corn tacos, then give them a whirl for $15.75. Other choices such as baby back ribs, chili, and ceviche habanero (a seafood medley) are tasty additions. Feel free to ask your waitress what any of the menu offerings are; this will prevent you from ordering chicken fingers and fries.
Prices are reasonable at Me and Julio, with cocktails priced around $7-9, and mains ranging from $10- $20. Basically, if you're looking for cheap Mexican food, you should try a take out place instead of Me and Julio. They aim for quality Mexican food as opposed to flash-fried quesadillas. Submerge the family in a taste of Mexican culture at Me and Julio- just ask for everything muy caliente. Muahaha!
