Those tiresome parents that often contemplate flying the coop have a safe refuge from the little ones where they can get and extra jolt of java when late night feedings make the mornings nearly impossible. Youngsters are more than welcome to attend for brunch and lunches for a family affair, and it’s the perfect environment to introduce your future coffee connoisseur to their first specialty drink, aptly titled the bambinoccino . -E.J.

8 Reader Reviews | Amazing, amazing food and a great atmosphere for kids. I love eating here. Its so nice to be able to go out for brunch and actually have a conversation because my daughter is free to play with the super cute retro toys they have. Keep up the good work Little Nesters!

Mary sounds like one of those people who likes to cause trouble. I wouldn't pay her any mind. Little nest is very clean and quite delicious.

Great food, great atmosphere. My family drives in from North Van just to eat good food WITH the kids.

Dear Mary,
I am so sorry to hear your children were sick with gastroenteritis. As a parent I know how awful it is to have sick kids. I always want to know exactly what may have caused the illness. I'm sorry that you felt Little Nest was the cause. We do have a lot of kids coming through and with flu season here, I can assure you, we are being extra vigilant with our cleaning routine. At the end of each day we wipe all the toys with soapy water. All the kitchen toys and toy food are put through a high temperature dishwasher at the end of the day. They are then air dried. The whole play area is wiped and then sprayed with a bleach and water solution and then left to air dry. Any toys found on the floor outside of the play area are now removed and washed. We vaccuum the carpet daily as we always have.
I appreciate your feedback and have now put up a sign asking parents to give mouthed toys to staff to sanitize.
I hope you will come back and give the play area another try.

Just for the record- I was unable to respond without giving my own restaurant a rating.

I used to love this place but three children got gastroenteritis and other viruses from playing with dirty toys! they do not disinfect them on a daily basis! (and we all know that babes put all in their mouth, no mather how careful we are)
