A classic version of free-range chicken breast ($24) gets an assist and update from goat cheese and pine nuts, served with a fresh lemon sauce. Roasted rack of lamb ($36) is as good as can be, sinewy, briny, and full of bravado and brash flavours of fresh thyme jus and mustard sabayon.

Many double decade restaurants coast on autopilot and a carousel of regulars, but Le Crocodile just keeps getting better and better (take that, Alligator). - R.B.

The ambiance is nice and the use of space quite interesting as my buddy and I observed from above while sucking on a couple of cocktails. The martinis though were kinda disappointing... not the best I've had and pretty much the most expensive I've had.

Well, the kitchen needs work! Food was not at the right temp and the plates look different each and every time(3 visits). The servers always seemed angry that you are there(is this the french way?).
