amakis Greek Taverna looks to open this spring. Yes, another business owner is having his go at the busy intersection of West Broadway and Cambie Street.
This follows a few others who were unsuccessful at securing the operating license needed to function, keep an eye out for this new restaurant that will open within the first few months of 2006. - L.H.

6 Reader Reviews | I thought I had the best Greek food actually in Greece. Imagine my surprise when we found it was really in Vancouver! The appetizer was the best calamari I ever had... and I said so. The chef is actually the owner and was charming and wanted to ensure that we were satisfied... we were!
Only draw back was the lack of parking being on Broadway a half a block from the mess that is Cambie Street being dug up for the Canada Line. The place itself, is small and so large parties might be crowded... but for twos and fours.... the BEST!

Kamakis is one of those little treasures you find! It's a nice change from the chain restaurants. You feel like you are being welcomed into someones home for dinner! The service was great, the cook is a character! He comes out to make sure you are enjoying your meal!lol My husband is a big eater, and the portions satisfied him! Thats saying something!
