ne of the most stand out features of Fairmont Waterfront’s signature restaurant is their two-story floor to ceiling panoramic windows that overlook the breathtaking mountain range just beyond Stanley Park. That being said, you could probably request the same view from your hotel room and skip Herons altogether, but those who want to treat a visiting Grandma to an age-appropriate atmosphere will appreciate the low key décor and environment of enthusiastic tourists. Unfortunately the cost of the view will be reflected in the menu prices, where the quality of the food doesn’t match the dough you’ll be forking over at the end of dinner. - E.J.
