ome people choose to only eat organic foods, some choose to be vegan, while others eat raw foods only (Gwyneth Paltrow circa the late 90s anyone?). But a combination of the three? That seems rather daunting, and possibly excessive for the junk food eating carnivore in many of us. Somehow at Gorilla Foods, completing that trifecta of wholesomeness isn't as difficult as one would think. Their kitchen on Richards Street provides take away and catering services- in case you are inexperienced in dehydrating your own grapes. Thai fresh wraps filled with vegetable pate, or zucchini hummus (accurately referred to as live goo) satisfy at lunch or as a snack to eat in or take out. Though you may cringe at shelling out 7 bucks for an almond smoothie, at least you know you are feeding your body more than a vat of whipped cream, caffeine, and sugar from you know where. –C.S.
