You get up, get out of the shower, give the locks a little blow, a little product, a little love; you clasp your suspenders, knot your skinny tie, tie your Chucks tight, and look in the mirror: perfect, beautiful, powerful. Why? It's the hair, damn it. Everything else is aesthetically tertiary at best.

Ready for dinner, you want haute-ish without the dreaded "trend" label and its faddish, fluid connotation. Delilah's offers staid and subtle romance in a martini-drenched, old-school space that boasts nooks and looks.

Now be careful and mind your hair, Sammy. - S.T.

I only have a very vague memory of going here with my parents as a teen; I would be lying if I remembered any actual details other than feeling overwhelmed! Went here recently as an adult, of course in typical Vancouver fashion we drove and paid for parking; I felt somewhat like a tourist, ordering fancy martinis that I normally would never drink. Cute. But, I wouldn't return.

I have been to this restaurant twice and both times have had the same experience. Food is OK, Drinks are good but SERVICE is horrible. We arrived at 8:15 PM, for a 9:00 PM reservation. The first answer was you'll have to come back at 9:00 PM, then the host offered to sit us by a table next to the bar until our table was ready. I thought that was very nice although I would have liked to hear "let me see what I can do" before he said "you'll have to come back". We were sited at 9:00 PM. No one came to check on us until almost 15 minutes later. Our first course came over an hour later from the time we placed our order, and then every course took longer to come than the one before. We had more than one server during the evening. One had an angry attitude who told us that she would never get used to serving in a restaurant. I wonder why she works in a restaurant if she doesn't like serving.
We left after midnight not by choice.
I would not recommend this place if you are wanting to celebrate a special occasion only if you are looking into having a martini (which are good) and some appetizers

Longest running "good" restaurant in Van. Great martini line-up too

Dine out is a great way to visit new restaurants (on the cheap). But remember, it is budget dining. Don't take it out on the restaurant (I love Delilahs!!!) - to fully appreciate the restaurant, visit after Dine Out has exhausted (trust me - the restaurant staff will be exhausted by then too)

The 2009 Dine out Vancouver course food was horrible. Carpaccio is nothing special, just a combination of fish slices and peanut sauce any kid can put together. Main entre the butter poached snapper was not seasoned well, nor have a sauce to complement. Luke warm. Risotto garnish lacks flavor which made the flavour of butter stood out like "plastic". The last desert, creme brulee was awsome. Don't order the dine out course meal. Just go with the regular menu. Atmosphere, fantastic as usual!

Went to Delilahs on Saturday night and must say I was blown away with everything. The food was so delicious - well prepared & presented. Wine list is tight and well tought out. Martinis are of course a must - I had the 'purple haze' and adored it!

Perfection! I went to Delilahs last night (had not been there is YEARS) - and I quickly remembered why I loved this place. The service is spectacular, each server is involved with each table (which means impeccable, fast service). Our server, Dennis, was extremely knowledgeable about wines and the (huge) martini list and gave perfect suggestions for our meals. I had the salmon with lentils (delicious) and my partner had the beef tenderloin (which he said was the best in the city!). Needless to say, we were thoroughly impressed by Delilahs. We will be back (again and again). LOVED IT!
