It’s not over; Taylor has come up with an easy-to-read wine list. Well chosen wines are colour-coded and listed under headings of crisp, mellow, luscious, juicy, smooth, and big. It's a short list, no more than 75 wines in total, but expertly drawn.
A powerhouse johnnycake cobbler will restore ardor. Cheeses ($6 or four for $18) include the Poplar Grove Tiger Blue from Naramata, brie de Meaux and Queso de Cabra. As a treat, indulge in one of the delightful dessert wines from the house's diverse list and toast the fact that, unlike the fields of Broadway or Television - where most of the top players are currently behaving like cloned sheep - many movers behind the food we eat have decided it's more fun to be shakers and Cru is an invigorating way to get all shook up. - R.B.

2 Reader Reviews | Food was okay, but really, the wine was clearly their focus. Some of their dishes really went well with drinks, but I wouldn't rave about Cru's dishes.
