Cito Espresso - in the old Stonslab Gourmet Pizza location (Vienne Bakery & Café) - brings forth (froth) espresso drinks and light pastries in a whole new light. If you want a big, Styrofoam cup of brew with some half & half, stop reading this and go to Country Style or something. Now, for anyone interested in a truly memorable coffee moment, get in line at Cito Espresso and have them assemble their version of a fine coffee for you.

Specializing in Latte Art coffees and herbal teas, the space has taken on a new coffee-bar identity, with a few lunch selections and the usual assortment of espresso coffees, Cito's just might give the almighty Starbucks a run for their money. - R.B.

Cito Expresso serves "dark city" coffee. If you haven't tried dark city and really like your coffee (especially black) then you must go...it tastes delicious, and they're always featuring new roasts.

Very friendly service, clearly they're going for a neighbourhood favourite spot feel, very nice shots: strong complex flavour, no bitterness. The barristas don't suffer from the typical Vancouver fussiness that means waiting FOREVER for your coffee, or worse taking exaggerated and unnecessary time patting and tamping and wiping to make 1 coffee at a time for a party of two, so coffee 1 is finished or cold long before coffee 2 appears. These guys care about the look and taste, but they remember that "espresso" means "fast" in Italian. Also remarkably well decorated: modern, spacious, cool Italian look without overdoing it.
