read and tulips sounds comforting and luxurious, doesn’t it? I’m sure that’s exactly what the owners of this new bistro/market/deli/café had in mind when they named the place. Bread and Tulips specializes in chocolate, cheese and wine. Mmmmmmm, decadent. They also serve brunch, supper and late night snacks.
All the food is decidedly Français like the Croque Monsieur, the fois gras, the warm goat cheese, the salad niçoise, the fresh croissants and the wine. Oh, the wine. Choice selections from Alsace, Piedmont, local BC and others provide an adequate list to pair your meal with.
Bread and Tulips is tucked into the upper British Properties and looks over the lower mainland. It garners a sense of superiority in its guests with the panoramic view, the luxurious food and the exclusivity from the city. So get your royalty on and feast at, not on, Bread and Tulips. –J.T.
