arisian from the wine decor to the white tablecloths, the I- wish- I- had- paid- closer- attention- in- French- class menu to the location (okay, maybe not the location), perennial "Best of" favourite, Bistro Pastis has a horizontal- blue- red- and- white stripe flare. Expect the requisite crusty bread and oil, dead ducks (take that, Daffy), and thin moustaches (perchance to dream). For a romantic evening or a fast-talk business dinner, Pastis is perfect. (You want me to write Bon Appetite, but I refuse to lower myself to that).
