    Review by Scott Tavener
I'm thinking of three things: animal rights, French new wave, and puns. I wish the title of this resto-lounge had a Brigitte prefix, but I suppose that would be a little too law-suit-inducing. A waterfront (not just a marketing ploy) chic dome, Bardot serves surprisingly affordable, aesthetically alluring, Mediterranean fare, including a cavalcade of well-prepared meat (take that, Mlle. "I don't act anymore"). At night, BWBandG (wonderful) often welcomes schmoove goatee tunes from a smoke-missing contingent of jazz blowers. - S.T.

Don’t waste your time at Bardot – You’ll be Completely Disappointed

You'll find common feedback online like:

“Bardot seriously drops the ball when it comes to their service.”
“DOV I was expecting better from Bardot.”
“I felt like I was eating a Michelina's frozen dinner.”

Bardot charged me twice by mistake which caused my credit card to exceed the limit. And we all know what that means an additional overdraft fee of $20 ~ that’s a total of $60+ out of my pocket because of their mistake!

I have been contacting them for over a month to have this resolved:

    - 4 emails through their "contact us" online form
    - 3 voice messages

And even a Better Business Bureau complaint with “No response from Business” and left “unanswered”. I even called them just now but their voice messages were full, how do they expect to fulfill reservation requests?

I am extremely shocked that they decide to not respond and consider Bardot Waterfront Lounge & Grille thieves as they “stole my money” by charging me twice and more importantly wasted my time.

I have been dining at the Bardot once a week sometimes twice a week since July/07.
The manager Jim along with Shanye May have bent over backwards to make sure, I as well as my guests are pleased with the service and my meal selections.
I have returned with many friends and working colleagues and have had great food with excellent value . Lunch averages $10 - $15 and Dinner from $18 -$30 , once again great value.
Bardot did once have a service problem however today I must tell you that they are doing everything possible to make sure you are properly greeted and that you enjoy your dining experience. Thursday and Sunday evenings the Live Jazz is an added Bonus to sitting on the patio overlooking the Marina and the specatular view ....Try It and tell Shayne or Jim I sent you !

Bardot's is a truly great little restaurant right on the water in Vancouver's Yaletown. We found the service fast and the food excellent. We are going there again with friends for lunch today. In addition, our waitress mixed us the best Cosmopolitan I have ever had!

In all their attempts to mimic a hip and happening place like their neighbouring restaurant Provence, Bardot drops the ball when it comes to their service.

The food was fine and so was the decor. However waiting 15-20 minutes in between every visit from the waitress is completely unacceptable. With not even a simple apology upon their returns and a Restaurant Manager / Owner (who must clearly think he is some high and mighty magnificent Restauranteur), they simply have no clue as to what good service is.

After bringing us the bill and having us immediately handed over our credit cards for processing, it took another 20 minutes before they returned with the slips to sign. Keep in mind during this process as we were observing what was taking so long, our waitress broke down in tears and also broke some glasses.

Upon returning with a bill, there was an overcharge on one of the credit cards at which point the so called manager in all his excellent judgement advised us to just pay it since it's already been processed and proceeded to hand us $5 cash instead of properly rectifying the issue.
