My knees cracked as I rose to my feet and finished the short journey home. The trip took me longer than it should have, but it was nothing compared to Odysseus's epic post-Trojan war journey home. If it weren't for Athene (Athena) he may never have returned to the dutiful, well-aging Penelope.
