 amed for Mughlai emperor Akbar the Great, Akbar's Own has long held sway in Vancouver's Indian cuisine scene (that was fun to read, wasn't it?). Fine(ish) dining in a wicker, print, and plush atmosphere, Akbar's exudes a subtle warmth and boasts an extensive card of carn and veg fare. It may not expand an empire, but this local fave does continue to attract a growing contingent of supporters and regulars. |

I have been to this restaurant before their food is reasonable, so this time I arrived with my wife and the waiter directed us to a small table, but we did not like the table because it was too small for us last time.
Before we sat , I asked another waiter if we can sit on next larger table and she directed me to 4 seats table and while I pulling the chair to sit.
The first middle age indian women came and say loudly: " This table is for 4 , you are two , you can not sit here " you have only two options , you can sit on this table only " .
The restaurant was full and she was talking with loudly as if I am an idiot! I was very shocked of How rude the way she is talking , so I went to her and told her I asked the other waitress before I go into the table and you don’t need to talk with me in loud voice, you can speak with us in a nicer way ", I dont care about the table anymore , I expect her to apologize but ..: No body will believe what she said, she said furiously " You know I work her , so I can talk loudly if I want to.. " "the other girl who told to go the bigger table she dose not know anything" she has been here for three days, I have working here for 7 years". Then she said I am busy " Do you want the table or No , I am busy the place is full? " - what a five star service.
So I told her " I like the place , I like the food , but I don't like the way you are talking with me. She said " … Then Just go "
Certainly, I don’t advsise anyone to go to this place.
